More than 30 people were injured and at least one person was killed when a car plowed into an outdoor area near a church in Berlin.
Doctor Who star John Barrowman witnessed the horrifying aftermath and described what he saw in a video posted below.
The incident happened near the popular Kurfuerstendamm shopping boulevard in the west of the German capital, Berlin police spokesman Martin Dams said.
Mr Dams said the suspected driver of the vehicle had been detained.
Barrowman, a former Dancing on Ice judge who played Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and spin-off show Torchwood said he had been told to sit by a tree in case another vehicle end up being driven towards people.
“So my friend Mikey Kay told us to sit by a tree just in case anything else happens because it’s something that’s between us and any other vehicles that might come.
“It’s really pretty bad guys, there’s… over where we are here there’s a lot of police, there’s a dead body in the middle of the road then over here there is all the emergency services that are trying to help victims and people.
