DEVELOPING STORY: Thousands of illegals aliens and their defenders shut down the 101 freeway in Los Angeles, stranding motorists and stopping traffic across the city. Many of the protesters were waving Mexican flags.
Video posted later showed a few demonstrators spraying graffiti on the freeway walls and appearing to vandalize at least one car that was stopped in the middle of the crowd.
The protest began around 9 a.m. on the Placita Olvera on Olvera Street. Around half an hour later, the Los Angeles Police Department declared it a “non-permitted demonstration,” and advised people to expect traffic delays.
Since his inauguration, President Trump has upheld his campaign pledge to significantly increase the number of deportations of illegal alien invaders, with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement conducting raids in major cities.

The California Department of Transportation District 7 reported on X that the 101 Freeway was closed in both directions between the 110 Freeway and Mission Road, advising drivers to avoid the area. Meanwhile, the LAPD reported major gridlock along Spring Street, Main Street, Los Angeles Street, Arcadia Street, and both northbound and southbound lanes of the 101 Freeway.
