President Trump was among those stunned at the news that Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit failed a post-race drug test.
Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert was suspended by Churchill Downs and if the results are upheld, there’s a good chance that it will invalidate the victory.
Medina Spirit is Baffert’s fifth horse to fail a drug test in a year. The only horse to be disqualified for medication after winning the Kentucky Derby is Dancer’s Image in 1968.
“So now even our Kentucky Derby winner, Medina Spirit, is a junky,” Trump wrote in a statement. “This is emblamatic of what is happening to our Country.”
The president makes a pretty good point.
“The whole world is laughing at us as we go to hell on our borders, our fake presidential election and everywhere else.”
It sounds like maybe the horse had an affinity for parmesan cheese — like Hunter Biden.
