Veterans, Service Academy Grads Booted From Hotel Rooms to Make Way for Illegals

There is a major controversy brewing in Massachusetts where hundreds of military veterans, service academy graduates and Army-Navy football fans were booted from their hotel rooms to make way for illegal aliens.

Boston Herald columnist Joe Battenfeld published an exclusive story Wednesday, asserting that “scores of military veterans, service academy graduates and families are scrambling to find hotel rooms for the big Army-Navy game at Gillette Stadium because their reservations were canceled to make way for migrant families.”

Massachusetts has a “right to shelter law.” That means homeless people and illegals must have a place to stay.

“Most people are scrambling for rooms. People that I knew went back to my site and re-booked another hotel. Some people I reached out to said they just booked in Boston. Some people just cancelled,” travel agent Mark Mansbach told Yahoo News.

NBC 10 News asked Gov. Maura Healey about the sudden cancellations.

“I’m very distressed to learn that any veteran may have been moved from a hotel who had booked a hotel for that game,” the governor said. “As I understand. those were decisions made by area hotels. I have directed my Secretary of Veterans’ Services Jon Santiago to reach out to anyone affected.”

By the way, those hotel rooms are being paid for with your hard-earned tax dollars.

“How ironic. One of the biggest football games in America at Gillette Stadium, the home of the New England Patriots, that we can’t find rooms for people that have fought for and sacrificed for our country because we have people living in rooms that are not from this country,” State Rep. Steven Xiarhos told television station WCVB.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is running for the Republican presidential nomination, condemned the action.

“Our veterans and service academy graduates cannot find anywhere to stay for the Army-Navy Game because hotels are housing illegal aliens on the taxpayers’ dime,” the Florida governor posted to X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday. “What a farce. When I am president, the days of putting illegals aliens over Americans will be over.”

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the difference between an America First agenda and an America Last agenda. The America First agenda will leave the lights on for our veterans.
