Uber is demanding an investigation after one of their drivers was brutally beaten by an angry mob in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Video shows black street thugs attacking an Asian-American Uber driver early Saturday morning in a popular entertainment district in the university town. Video also shows two white passengers being pulled from the car and beaten in the streets.
Vince Kang told television station WDTV that he had never seen something so terrible in Morgantown.
“I pull in front of the Bank, the Bank Bar on High Street. It was like 3:30. I am waiting for the ride and I see a fight occur in front of me, a man is thrown onto the curb by the Sports Page in front of me,” Kang said. “I later see that a group of girls is carrying [the man] to my car and I see they are getting him into my car then the mob attacks the girls and me.”
Mr. Kang told the television station he suffered cuts and bruises. There’s no word on the condition of the female passengers.
“We are alarmed by this senseless violence. We have been in touch with the driver and stand ready to assist local law enforcement with their investigation,” Uber said in a statement.
Now, imagine if a mob of white thugs had been the aggressors. This story would’ve led every national news cast in America. But there’s been no coverage. And there won’t be. What happened in West Virginia doesn’t fit Big Media’s narrative.
