A young Chick-fil-A staffer is being hailed as a hero when he came to the rescue when a man tried to carjack a young mother and her baby in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says the victim was getting the baby out of her car at the Chick-fil-A when the attacker pounced.
William Branch, 43, is accused of threatening the woman with a stick. He demanded her keys and then tried to steal her car.
The Chick-fil-A staffer heard the woman’s cries for help and dashed over to stop the bad guy. The young man was punched in the face, but he was undeterred.
Others came to subdue the carjacker and held him until the police arrived.
The employee says Branch had been involved in another incident shortly before the carjacking attempt.
“A major shout-out to this young man for his courage,” the sheriff’s department said in a Facebook post. I have no doubt that when the young mom thanked the Chick-fil-A staffer, he just smiled and said, “My pleasure.”
