‘We Feel Unsafe!’ Owner of Junior’s Restaurant in NYC Blasts City Leaders

The owner of one of New York City’s most recognizable brands is warning that the shine has worn off the Big Apple.

“We feel uneasy. We feel unsafe. We want our city back,” Alan Rosen told the New York Post.

Rosen is the owner of Junior’s Restaurant – makers of some of the best cheesecakes in the nation.

He runs three restaurants – in downtown Brooklyn and Times Square.

Mr. Rosen says that crime has become so bad it’s impacting his bottom line. And he’s calling on city leaders to step up and start fighting crime.

He tells the New York Post that he’s especially upset by soft-on-crime lawmakers.

“When did it become OK to shoplift a pharmacy? In what society is that OK? People shouldn’t be able to shoplift at CVS,” Rosen told The Post in an exclusive interview. “Enough! There are no consequences. That’s part of the problem.”

Last summer his daughter was assaulted in Bushwick.

He also called on city leaders to take the handcuffs off police and let them do their job.

“Our police have been handcuffed. Hire more police! We need to refund the police, not defund the police,” he said.

Otherwise, he warned, a bunch of bad apples are going to spoil the Big Apple.

Are soft-on-crime policies putting lives in danger?
