Mom Sues School District for Allegedly Encouraging Her Child to Swap Gender

One California mom is suing her local school district after finding out they were encouraging her child to swap genders and hide it from her family.

The mother, Aurora Regino, filed a lawsuit through Center for American Liberty on Jan. 6 regarding the Chico Unified School District’s alleged “Parental Secrecy Policy.”

Regino’s 11-year-old daughter was encouraged by the school to transition from a girl to a boy after expressing a desire to do so.

The fifth grader allegedly went to a guidance counselor at the school, who encouraged the child to transition and keep the decision from her parents.

The Chico Unified School District claims it has no such policy to keep this information away from parents.

Regino told Fox News’ Jesse Watters that the counselor “walked her [child] to class and affirmed it that day” she said she felt like she was a boy.
