Over the last couple of months, groups of parents, whether it be in Loudoun County, Virginia or Franklin County, Tennessee, have not been pleased with the mask mandate requirements in public schools.

The Williamson County Tennessee Board of Education approved a temporary mask requirement for elementary school students, staff and visitors inside all buildings and on buses that began Thursday and ends September 21.

According to journalist Brinley Hineman, the line was so long and anti-mask mandate folks outweighed the pro-mask people with hundreds there. The line was wrapped around the building in a video taken.

American political commentator Clay Travis came to the school board meeting. He has two kids in Williamson County schools.

“You all should be ashamed of the choices you’re about to make,” he said to the board. He said masks don’t work and called them “cosmetic theater.”

The board ended up voting for the mask mandate despite parents’ objections to it.

Conservative columnist Matt Walsh spoke out at the Nashville School Board in a video that went viral online.

The Volunteer State has had numerous groups of parents standing up and speaking out against masking children, including in Collierville.

Parents in Fayette County, Kentucky also protested mask mandates in their schools as well.

According to Lex18.com, Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear’s executive order concerning masks in schools and child care centers struck a nerve with some parents and others who do not think face coverings should be mandated.

“We need to be able to make our own risk assessment and right now as it is, with a lot of things it seems like in the schools, they are taking away the parents’ abilities to make choices for their children,” said Andrew Cooperrider, who organized the protest.

Parents in Baltimore held an “Un-Mask Our Kids” rally earlier this week.

A large group of parents also protested outside of New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy’s home.

Families in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania also protested masks Wednesday.

In Loudoun County, Virginia, many parents came to protest many topics, including a transgender bill, critical race theory, and mask mandates.

Loudoun County announced on August 6 that they will be requiring masks to be worn in all county facilities.

Due to school starting soon, it is expected that more parent uprisings will occur around the country.
