‘Absolutely Exhausting’: Demi Lovato ‘Got Tired’ of ‘They/Them’ Pronouns

Preferred pronouns are too much for former Disney actress and singer Demi Lovato.

The 30-year-old “Camp Rock” star is now going by “she/her” again.

“I constantly had to educate people and explain why I identified with those pronouns. It was absolutely exhausting,” Lovato told GQ Hype Spain. “I just got tired.”

She isn’t giving up her “they/them” pronouns. In fact, she’s doubling down on the pronoun policing.

“But for that very reason, I know that it is important to continue spreading the word,” Lovato added.

She has suffered with mental health issues, including being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but now Lovato is confused about which bathroom to use because of her feelings.

“I face this every day. For example, in public toilets. Having to access the women’s bathroom, even though I don’t completely identify with it,” she explained, according to Page Six. “Or it also happens when filling out forms, such as government documents or any other where you have to specify your gender. You only have two options, male and female, and I feel like none of that makes sense to me.”

Lovato is demanding there be more options: “I think this has to change.”
