Elon Musk harshly criticized Amazon’s new “Lord of The Rings: Rings of Power” series claiming the show portrayed male characters as cowards and jerks.
In a Twitter thread Monday, the billionaire also said the original “Lord of the Rings” author J.R.R. Tolkien is “turning in his grave” due to the adaptation from the company owned by Jeff Bezos.
Almost every male character so far is a coward, a jerk or both. Only Galadriel is brave, smart and nice.— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) September 5, 2022
“Almost every male character so far is a coward, a jerk or both. Only Galadriel is brave, smart and nice,” Musk tweeted.
But he is not the only viewer who was dissatisfied with Amazon’s “Rings of Power” series. The online feedback was so negative that Amazon suspended reviewing for days in order to “help weed out trolls,” per the Hollywood Reporter.
Further, the average user review on Rotten Tomatoes is a low 39 percent.
Musk interrupted his critique of Amazon Prime series to continue his feud with Twitter after his deal to buy the social company fell through.
Directly following his comments about the show, Musk posted a picture of his post’s comment section that showed a seemingly fake account repeatedly attempting to get users to press a Youtube link.
“And 90% of my comments are bots,” the Tesla and SpaceX founder wrote with an emoji of a robot.

One of Musk’s main contentions with the social media giant during the deal was related to the number of fake accounts on the platform.
