After the popular show, “The Chosen,” announced that the final two episodes of season 3 would be released in theaters, tens of thousands of fans crashed the ticket site eager to see the final episodes.
Show creator Dallas Jenkins announced on a livestream that the final two episodes would be released in theaters starting Feb. 2, leading to fans crashing the Fathom Events ticket website.
“Unfortunately, the demand for tickets for The Chosen season finale crashed the Fathom Events website. It is now working again, so you can get tickets for Eps 7/8 at Fathom or your usual ticketing sites,” the show’s FaceBook page shared on Monday.
Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt told sources the website was temporarily down due to the fan demand but quickly recovered to help “tens of thousands of fans” buy tickets.
Nutt told Fox News, “After reading the comments from fans on social media, it is evident that they are very excited about seeing episodes 7 and 8 in theaters with their friends and family.”

Fans of “The Chosen” will be able to watch episodes 7 and 8 in theaters on Feb. 2 and 3, with show creators teasing a “stunning conclusion that demands to be seen on a big screen.”
Fans who cannot get tickets will also be able to watch the finale of season 3 on The Chosen App three days later on Feb. 5 and 7.
Fans can expect to see Jesus performing the miracle of feeding the 5,000 with fish and bread in the season finale, among other things, which Jenkins touted as “by far, the biggest thing we’ve ever done.”
