ACB ‘Triggered’ Dems Because She’s a Brilliant Jurist Guided by Her Faith: Nance

Penny Young Nance, the president of Concerned Women for America, told the “Todd Starnes Show” on Monday that Democrats are perfectly fine with people identifying as Christian, just as long as they don’t actually “believe that stuff.”

Judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Trump‘s pick for the U.S. Supreme Court who has turned D.C. on its head just weeks away from the election, represents the most under-represented groups in the country, Nance said, “conservative women.”

Todd Starnes, the host of the program, called Barrett qualified for the role and said there is no reason any Democrat should be in opposition. Nance said Barrett should breeze past the Senate confirmation hearing and be appointed the country’s next justice.

“We believe that she brings our faith perspective our worldview to the court and that is desperately needed,” Nance said.

Starnes pointed to the reaction by Democrats to her nomination and their focus on her Catholic faith. He said Joe Biden, the Democratic hopeful for president is also Catholic but avoids any questions about his faith because it seems as though he doesn’t practice the religion.

“She practices her faith, and that has triggered the Democrats,” Starnes said.

Nance brought up Barrett’s confirmation hearing in 2017, when she was up for a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., told her, “The dogma lives loudly within you.”

The New York Times reported that Barrett was a law professor before joining the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. The paper reported then that Barrett said her religious beliefs would not affect her decisions.

“Religious bigotry is alive and well,” Nance said. We thought we put all that away with John F. Kennedy but apparently it’s living and thriving within the Democrat Party.”

Nance said that Americans should “pray that the dogma” lives inside them.

“We should all want to be the essence of Christ and actually allow our views to inform our behavior and the choices we make in life,” she said.
