Some churches across the nation have turned their Nativity scenes into political statements.

St. Susanna Catholic Church, near Boston, posted a sign on its Nativity stating “ICE was here.”

Joseph, Mary and the Baby Jesus were nowhere to be seen – apparently they were snatched away by ICE agents.

Woke theologians claim that Jesus was an illegal immigration – but that is simply not true. Judea and Egypt were part of the Roman Empire.

“It’s supposed to affect people deeply, it’s supposed to move people, it’s supposed to change people,” Father Stephen Josoma told Fox News Digital. “So, if this evokes a strong reaction, it’s maybe good to take a look at that.”

The Catholic Action League of Massachusetts said the display was offensive and accused the pastor of using the parish as a platform to promote left-winged ideology.

“I think it’s very offensive,” C.J. Doyle told Fox News Digital. “[The priest] is politicizing Christmas, he’s exploiting and trivializing the Holy Family, and he’s using his Catholic parish as a platform to promote his left-winged ideology.”

And Lake Street Church in Evanston, Illinois depicted the Baby Jesus with his hands zip-tied. Instead of Wise Men – there were ICE agents surrounding the manger.

And Mary was wearing a respirator mask to protect herself from the tear gas. The church is adorned with Black Lives Matter and other social justice banners.

Dr. Paul Chappell, a renowned pastor and author, condemned the churches for using Christmas to advance a political message.

“Our country needs to know that God sent his son, the Lord Jesus, in a miraculous fashion to provide redemption as the savior of the world,” Chappell said on my national radio show. “And instead of preaching that message, you have churches that are using the manger scene in ridiculous fashion, really in a blasphemous way, and distracting from the true message.”

Chappell is pastor of Lancaster Baptist Church in California and president of West Coast Baptist College.

“And that that’s why I truthfully believe that many of these so called churches are not churches at all,” Chappell added. “They do not believe the Bible is the infallible word of God. They do not believe that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.”

Sounds to me like Jesus left those churches a long time ago.
