Fake News CNN is back obsessing over crowd sizes, but instead of President Trump’s inauguration, it was the annual March for Life.

In a blatant deceptive move, CNN posted coverage of the 46th annual anti-abortion rally on their SnapChat news story. Only instead of including images of the March itself, the news network posted images from hours before the rally and from areas far from the rally.

The images showed a handful of people and were accompanied by the caption “Media reports ‘around 1000’ people at March for Life”

The Twitter page for Students for Life of America, the nation’s largest pro-life student organization posted a time lapse video showing just how long the protest was.

Get Religion covered the controversy over attendance figures, too — posting a link to a report that USA Today initially calculated the crowd about being “more than 1,000.”

The annual march commemorates the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion in all 50 states and continually draws crowds in the hundreds of thousands.

The March for Life notoriously gets ignored by mainstream media outlets, with the Media Research Center’s Newsbusters pointing out that last year’s March for Our Lives garnered 13 times more media coverage than the March for Life.

The 2019 March for Life saw Vice President Mike Pence deliver a surprise speech and also featured a video message from President Donald Trump touting the administration’s many pro-life policies.

The March for Life is the largest pro-life gathering in the nation, with Life News estimating over 100,000 people in attendance, well over the 1000 reported by CNN.

The March for Life does not release official figures on the size of the crowd, but some estimates in years past have put the number at nearly half a million, with an estimated 650,000 attending the event in 2013.
