Former Tattoo Artist Katherine von Drachenberg, known better as Kat von D, took the next step in her faith posting a video to her Instagram account of herself getting baptized, more than a year after renouncing the occult.
Kat von D is best known for her work as a tattoo artist on LA Ink, a TLC reality television show.
Drachenberg began her journey of faith a year ago after announcing on her Instagram she was renouncing all forms of witchcraft and occult rituals.
“I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with this content? And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I don’t know if any of you have been going through changes in your lives right now, but in the last few years I’ve come to some pretty meaningful realizations—many of them revolving around the fact that I got a lot of things wrong in my past,” Drachenberg concluded.
Now more than a year later Drachenberg has taken the next step and professed her faith by sharing a video of her being baptized.
In the video, you can see Drachenberg smile as the priest calls her, “his sister,” before baptizing her.
Drachenberg captioned the video with a cross emoji.

NOTE FROM TODD: It’s vitally important for us to support religious liberty law firms that are out there on the front lines defending our freedom. Alliance Defending Freedom is doing an amazing job. They’ve taken cases all the way to the Supreme Court and they’ve won. And ADF doesn’t charge their clients a single penny. This month I’m raising money to help ADF keep fighting the good fight.
