Franklin Graham Praises Chick-fil-A
Global evangelist Franklin Graham believes it’s an incredible idea for a Chick-fil-A restaurant in the Greater Baltimore Area to reward families who ditch their phones at the dinner table.
“This is an incredible idea … and it’s so needed,” he told The Todd Starnes Show on Tuesday. “For marketing for Chick-fil-A, it didn’t cost them anything and the whole country is talking about it.”

The chicken chain’s Towson, Maryland, location recently prompted customers to take the “cell phone coop challenge” by setting aside their phones while they enjoy a meal together, as shown in an image posted on X.
Upon completing the no-technology challenge, “everyone at the table will receive a Icedream® Cone as a reward,” a sign inside the restaurant reads.
The phoneless trend first surfaced at Chick-fil-A in 2016 but has revived itself at hundreds of franchise locations over the last decade, ABC News noted.
“That’s a great incentive and will serve as a reminder to focus on meals together without distractions,” Graham wrote on X.

Graham, who serves as the president of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, is a prominent figure at the crossroads of faith, politics, and society.
He delivered a heartfelt letter to President Donald Trump in October emphasizing Christian salvation.
“This week you commented to the media that you might not be heaven bound,” Graham wrote, referring to remarks Trump made about whether he has earned his place in paradise.
On Palm Sunday, Trump shared the privately-delivered letter publicly to thank Graham during a holiday that is special for Christians around the world.
Graham told Starnes that the message can be simple when Christians share the Gospel with others.
“Here is God shedding the blood of His son for you and me and the whole world. And all we have to do is just believe it,” Graham said. “There’s not multiple ways to God, there’s only one path, and that’s through Christ.”
