Gay Lawmakers Demand Franklin Graham, Samaritan’s Purse Leave NYC and Never Return

OPINION:

Leave and never return.

That’s what several high-profile homosexual lawmakers are telling the doctors and nurses who work with Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian humanitarian relief agency run by renowned evangelist Franklin Graham.

“It is time for Samaritan’s Purse to leave NYC,” said New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson. “This group, led by the notoriously bigoted, hate-spewing Franklin Graham, came at a time when our city couldn’t in good conscience turn away any offer of help. That time has passed.”

Johnson, a notorious anti-Christian bigot, said the ministry’s continued presence in New York City “is an affront to our values of inclusion, and is painful for all New Yorkers who care deeply about the LGBTQ community.”

This man’s hatred of Christians is so perverse that he would have rather seen his fellow citizens suffer and die agonizing deaths rather than accept the charity of Christians.

Mount Sinai announced that the field hospital will close on May 4 after treating 315 patients infected with the Chinese virus.

The decision to close the field hospital had nothing to do with the lawmakers who opposed the ministry.

Sources tell The Todd Starnes Show there had been a departure plan in place for two weeks because the disease is trending down and the local healthcare system is now able to handle additional patients.

“Franklin Graham should pack up his medical tents and leave New York City for good,” State Sen. Brad Hoylman said.

“It was bad enough that Donald Trump’s failure to prepare the nation for this pandemic forced New York to accept charity from a bigot like Franklin Graham,” he said in a statement. “Inviting Graham to stay on longer is an insult to LGBTQ New Yorkers and sends the dangerous message that homophobia and transphobia are acceptable.”

Americans should be troubled that such hate and intolerance exists in chambers of government. But it’s not all that surprising – especially in the aftermath of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s threat to round up Jews who disobey social distancing rules.

Both gay lawmakers said allowing Graham to stay in the city would insult homosexual residents and would send a dangerous message that homophobia and transphobia are acceptable. They also issued an ominous warning to Mount Sinai:

“Mount Sinai must sever its relationship with Samaritan’s Purse,” Johnson wrote on Twitter.

“On behalf of the LGBTQ community I represent,I demand they end their association with Franklin Graham and Samaritan’s Purse, or risk further reputational harm with LGBTQ New Yorkers and the wider public,” Holyman said.

It appears that not only is New York government infested with anti-Semitism, but they are also dealing with a virulent strain of homofascist, anti-Christian bigotry.
