NBA Star Jaden Ivey Kicked off Team for Criticizing Gay Pride

The Chicago Bulls dismissed Jaden Ivey from the team today after he posted messages on Instagram affirming his faith in Jesus Christ and his opposition to mandatory Gay Pride celebrations within the NBA. The Bulls said his comments represented “conduct detrimental to the team.”

“The world can proclaim LGBTQ, right?” Ivey told viewers via livestream on Monday morning. “They proclaim Pride Month. And the NBA, they proclaim it. They show it to the world. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month, to celebrate unrighteousness.’ They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim it in the streets. Unrighteousness.”

In 2024 Ivey was featured in a Sports Spectrum story about his baptism and his public affirmation of Christ. He told the news organization that he’s “nothing without Jesus” and cited Bible verses including James 1:17 and 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Sports reporters have portrayed Ivey has mentally unstable when in fact he’s just a born-again follower of Jesus talking about his faith. We live in an age where right is wrong and wrong is right. Those who seek to follow the teachings of Christ are punished for their beliefs.
