The producer of the new film “Forever My Girl” says he is proud to deliver a faith-based movie for the Heartland.

“I’m a Christian,”  producer Mickey Liddell told the Todd Starnes Radio Show. “I realized it would be fun to make a great small town America movie that has faith-based elements and talk about great themes like redemption and forgiveness,” he said.

Listen to the full interview above.

“We wanted to make something the whole family could go see and have a great time,” he said.

“Forever My Girl” tells the story of a country music superstar who left his bride at the altar – choosing fame and fortune instead. The story centers on his return to his Southern hometown and facing the consequences of what he left behind.

And it’s not “preachy.” You church folks know what I’m talking about. Watch the trailer below.
