“It is encouraging to see young people take interest in remembering things that they weren’t even alive for,” YAF Spokesman Spencer Brown said on the Todd Starnes Show.
College and high school students across the United States placed memorials on their campuses to remember the innocent lives taken by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001.
Each memorial has 2,977 American flags to remember each life, and since the Young America’s Foundation (YAF) launched the 9/11: Never Forget Project in 2003, there have been more than 10 million flags place in campus memorials.

“Giving students a meaningful way to remember the loss our nation suffered and honor those murdered on September 11, 2001 is the main goal of this activism project,” said Young America’s Foundation Spokesman Spencer Brown. “While many schools attempt to push a sanitized, revisionist account of what happened that day, students want to remember those who died and join with hundreds of other schools across the country to boldly show that they haven’t forgotten and that they continue to stand for our freedom that came under attack on September 11.”
