CNN host Don Lemon reportedly screamed at his female cohost Kaitlan Collins after a “CNN This Morning” broadcast in December.
On the morning of Dec. 8, while Lemon was reporting the latest on Brittany Griner’s release from a Russian prison, his 30-year-old cohost cut in to make a remark. Lemon stopped what he was saying and looked at her disapprovingly. He then continued on with the story as if she had never said anything.
The New York Post reports that following the incident, Lemon “screamed” at the Collins for “interrupting” him.
“Don screamed at Kaitlan, who was visibly upset and ran out of the studio,” one source told the Post.

The report also said that news of Lemon’s outburst made its way to CNN CEO Chris Licht, who reportedly was appalled after hearing the story. Allegedly, Licht instructed a producer to tell Lemon to take the next day to “cool off.”
Another source told the Post Collins, “wants to be on set with Don as little as possible,” adding the situation is “messy.”
Collins is a rising star at the network who even worked as CNN’s youngest chief White House Correspondent. Additionally, both news anchors are represented by Jay Sures, a powerful and connected man in the industry.

Lemon and Collins both declined requests for comment on the situation.
A CNN rep also declined but said, “In just three months, these anchors have created a compelling morning show that breaks news and drives the conversation.”
