Hello Americans, I’m Todd Starnes. Stand by for news and commentary next.

Fox News Channel is facing a growing controversy over a segment that defended transgenderism among children.

The story was part of the network’s Gay Pride Month coverage – celebrating diversity in America.

Fox featured a 14-year-old girl who identified as a boy – before she knew how to talk. There was no fair or balanced debate about the issue. No talk about how 70 percent of children who suffer gender dysphoria grow out of the malady.

The child’s mother defended the family’s decision to embrace their daughter’s “transgenderism” by pointing out the high rates of suicides for transgender people.

“I’d rather have a living son than a dead daughter,” she told the pro-transgender network.

Many conservative journalists rebuked Fox, including Megyn Kelly.

“That’s a very dangerous trope, because this is used by the LGBTQ activists to shame parents who know about that 70% statistic, that generally, if I stay out of it, my kid’s going to outgrow this, and in many cases, they just turn out to be gay,” she said.

“The problem is, the Fox News Channel mission is not to do reports that sound like MSNBC, right? The Fox News Channel mission is to make sure that they include the context that gets ignored by all of the other stations. And in 2022 in particular, we know that there’s a lot more to this story,” my former Fox colleague said on Newsmax.

Kelly said it was “irresponsible to put it on the air like this as a celebration without flagging for the parents out there who are going through this this significant downsides of jumping onto this without making sure you’re in that very, very small percentage of cases where this gender dysphoria might actually be a thing.”

I worked at Fox News Channel for 15 years and I was thankful they gave me a platform to defend traditional values and traditional families. But those days are long gone.

Fox has been taken over by social progressives who can’t tell the difference between a man and a woman.

And based on their ratings – it appears many conservatives are responding by changing the channel.
