The biggest loser in last night’s Republican presidential debate was the Fox News brand – took one right on the chin. What a disaster.
Stuart Varney, Dana Perino and Univision’s Ilia Calderon lost complete control of the debate and inserted their own opinions and bias into the questions and the refereeing.
Scott Walker, the president of Young America’s Foundation, came up with a brilliant idea – no moderators with views that are contrary to the Republican platform.

Ms. Calderon was literally spewing left-wing talking points on gay rights and illegal immigration and Mr. Varney stumbled through the entire debate.
Subtitles would’ve been nice.
And then there was Ms. Perino – fresh off her appearance at Hillary and Bill Clinton’s Global Initiative.
She delivered one of the cringiest moments – asking candidates to write down the name of someone who should be voted off the island.
I would’ve picked the moderators.
It really does make you question the judgment of the Republican National Committee. Why was Fox given exclusive rights to the first two presidential debates?
Why wasn’t the second debate hosted on Newsmax? They have a massive audience – much larger than Fox Business. And Newsmax has established itself as a truly fair and balanced television network.
RNC chair Ronna McDaniel needs to decide if the debates are more about currying favor with Fox News Channel or helping voters understand the nuanced positions of the candidates.
And that brings me to the candidates. Sweet mercy, America.
Gov. Ron DeSantis was slathered in makeup. Gov. Nikki Haley and Sen. Tim Scott were yammering about curtain fabrics while Chris Christie auditioned for a primetime gig on CNN.
Vivek Ramaswamy barked liked a used car salesman wearing a Wayne Newton pompadour. And former Vice President Mike Pence made the entire nation cringe with a joke about his sex life (pardon me, just threw up a little in my mouth).
The only adult on the stage last night was North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.
Honestly, the true winner of last night’s debate was former President Donald Trump – for having the foresight to stay as far away from that dumpster fire as possible.
So here’s my pro-tip: the next time Fox Business wants to host a Republican presidential debate – don’t hire moderators from MSNBC.
