The message was a part of a segment entitled, “The importance of inclusion in sex education” that NPR decided to broadcast on July 4.
The left-wing news outlet released the segment in the context of Florida’s “Parental Rights in Education Bill” which has received criticism from the left and has been deceivingly referred to as the “Don’t Say Gay Bill.”

“Across the country, some state lawmakers are working to restrict the rights of LGBTQ youth. On Friday, a Florida bill went into effect that restricts school personnel from discussing sexual orientation or gender identity in class,” NPR host Leila Fadel began.
Further, NPR’s Lilly Quiroz set the stage for the interview by denouncing traditional views on sexuality as a whole.
“Let’s first debunk the obviously false notion that sex can only be heterosexual or involve intercourse,” Quiroz said.

The segment is a part of the outlet’s “Life Kit” series which NPR calls “service journalism.”
Quiroz interviewed “sexuality educator” Milena Gioconda Davis, the co-founder of a Mexico City club called Vulgar, where she also performs.

In addition to encouraging children to masturbate and engage in any sexual activity they find fulfilling, Davis told the audience not to be so concerned about the stigma of STDs, which she referred to as STIs.
“I think the biggest thing is that STIs make you dirty, which is just a terrible lie,” Davis said. “And also, I think the other one is, like, if you get an STI, your sex life is over. Like, no – most STIs are curable or treatable, and it doesn’t have to be, like, this mark of shame.”
