Two Fox News Channel contributors quit the network after host Tucker Carlson produced a documentary on Jan. 6.
Never Trumpers Jonah Goldberg and Stephen Hayes resigned after Carlson’s “Patriot Purge” started running on Fox Nation.
“I’m tempted just to quit Fox over this,” Goldberg texted to Hayes, who responded: “I’m game. Totally outrageous. It will lead to violence. Not sure how we can stay.”
The duo, who started The Dispatch, shared their reasoning in an op-ed titled, “Why We Are Leaving Fox News.”
They claim “the voices of the responsible are being drowned out by the irresponsible” at the network.
“Whether it’s ‘Patriot Purge’ or anti-vax stuff, I don’t want it in my name, and I want to call it out and criticize it,” Goldberg told the New York Times.
National radio host Todd Starnes, who worked at Fox News for more than a decade, commented Sunday: “I didn’t even realize they were on the channel.”

“Fox News is a much more conservative network without those two bearded Never Trumpers,” Starnes added. “And there are a few more who should be given the heave-ho, too — both beardless and baby-faced.”
Fox News spokeswoman Irena Briganti offered no comment, but Carlson told the NYTimes “our viewers will be grateful.”
