Police in Riverside, California are searching for the thugs who desecrated a memorial to the 13 U.S. service members who were killed in the Muslim terrorist attack in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Thirteen American flags and one Marine Corp flag were posted on a freeway overpass fence to honor the memory of the fallen.
“At this point, we don’t have any suspect description, but it’s obvious the flags were intentionally damaged,” the police department said in a statement.
An organization known as “What is Going on in Riverside County” brought the crime to the attention of law enforcement.
“Unfortunately America is not what it once was…no respect, no care, no compassion, we live with degenerates in a debased society…if we complain we’re intolerant,” one angry citizen wrote on Facebook. “Heartbreaking what this country has come to.”
“The criminal(s) responsible should be sent to Afghanistan for several days,” another citizen recommended.
The police department says they turned over the desecrated flags to Boy Scout Troop 703 for proper retirement.
