NASCAR team owner Richard Childress is sending a million rounds of ammo to Ukraine to help soldiers and everyday citizens defend their nation from Vladimir Putin and the Russian invaders.
Childress says he was moved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s patriotism.
“I was listening the other day and heard President Zelenskyy say he didn’t want out, he wanted ammunition,” Childress told Fox and Friends.
So the legendary NASCAR team owner reached out to Fred Wagenhals, the owner of AMMO, Inc.
“I said, ‘Fred, we gotta help these people. They need ammunition.’ And he stepped right up, he said, ‘We’ll do it,’ and now we’re turning our production to this as our number one priority.”

The Hall of Fame team owner says Americans have a responsibility to do all we can to help the Ukrainians.
“This is a wake-up call for America, and why we have to have our Second Amendment. We have 82 thousand, 82 million gun owners in America, and to see the people in Ukraine fighting — it’s terrible to see the lives that are being lost over there,” he told Fox News. “We have to do all we can, and I felt with Ammo Inc. and myself, we were doing the right thing.
And he’s right. It’s a reminder of why the Second Amendment is so important and why Americans should defend their right to bear arms.
“We’re working with some government agencies, but to get it there quickly, we’re going to work through a private company that will be working to get it in there,” Childress said. “The number one ammo they’re needing right now over there is the 7.62s, and that’s what we’re going to be producing.”
While the rest of the free world delivers speeches – it’s nice to see someone actually doing something that will actually help the Ukrainian people.
Some people talk. Others do.
Richard Childress is a doer.
And while the NBA publicly defends the Communist Chinese and while the NFL coddles players and coaches who hate America, it’s refreshing to see a sport stand in defense of those who love freedom and democracy.
