Salt Lake City Newspaper: Use National Guard to Quarantine Citizens

The editorial board of the Salt Lake City Tribune is calling on a full-blown, Soviet-style police action to deal with Utahans who refuse to get vaccinated.

“Were Utah a truly civilized place, the governor’s next move would be to find a way to mandate the kind of mass vaccination campaign we should have launched a year ago, going as far as to deploy the National Guard to ensure that people without proof of vaccination would not be allowed, well, anywhere,” the editorial board wrote. “But it may be too late for that, politically and medically.”

The newspaper wants National Guard troops deployed to neighborhoods across the state to stop citizens from walking out on their front lawn.

The journalists who publish that fish wrapper literally want armed troops to stop unvaccinated mothers from going grocery shopping and dads from driving to the office.

Oh, the demented glee in the editorial board room as the Tribune journalists imagined National Guard troops marching children and teenagers into containment camps.

The Tribune’s editorial has been met with great derision across the nation.

“The truth is Omicron is out of control everywhere,” tweeted Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson. “Even in places with mask and vaccine mandates. We always push vaccines, but even vaccinated ppl [sic] are catching it. It’s easy to take shots from the cheap seats but this is the sort of nonsense that makes editorial boards irrelevant.”

There are some who would suggest we should respond to the Tribune’s editorial with an eye roll. But I disagree.

As I’ve mentioned numerous times on my national talk show, we are watching Democrats march this nation towards full-blown totalitarianism.

Among the warning signs are state control of society, censorship of unpopular opinions, mainstream media outlets spreading propaganda and state control of individuals.

It sounds as if the Salt Lake City Tribune’s editorial board found great inspiration in the guiding principles of totalitarianism.

No doubt that Joseph Stalin would have been bursting with pride.
