Steve Bannon, a former adviser to President Trump, was sentenced to four months in prison and fined $6,500.

Bannon’s punishment for ignoring subpoenas to appear before the January 6 kangaroo court.
The official crime: Contempt of Congress.
Bannon was convicted in July on two counts. Prosecutors had wanted a six month prison sentence and a $200,000 fine.
“I respect the judge, the sentence he came down with today is his decision. I’ve been totally respectful during this entire process on the legal side,” Bannon told media gathered outside the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.
Bannon plans to appeal.
“On Nov. 8th, there’s going to have judgment on the illegitimate Biden regime … and quite frankly, Nancy Pelosi and the entire committee,” he added. “The Biden administration ends on the evening of the 8th of November…Merrick Garland will end up being the first attorney general that’s brought up on charges of impeachment and he’ll be removed from office.”

Consider this – a number of Obama administration officials were held in contempt – but not a one went to jail. Attorney General Eric Holder. IRS Director Lois Lerner.
Notice the double standard?
Quite frankly, the American people should be holding Congress with contempt.
The Democrats thought they had the goods on Trump. They did not. That's why they're going after Steve Bannon, the House Freedom Caucus, pro-lifers, parents who complain about their school boards, and Average Joe Trump supporters. Biden is rounding up his enemies.

He is the first person in nearly 40 years sentenced to prison time based on a contempt of Congress charge.
Democrats have set a dangerous precedent and will continue to punish political dissidents.
