It seems that Mr. Meghan Markle in his new autobiography disrespected Elvis Presley and mocked Graceland, the beloved home of the undisputed King of Rock and Roll.
“People variously called the house a castle, a mansion, a palace. But it reminded me of the badger sett,” Prince Harry wrote in “Spare.” “Dark, claustrophobic. I walked around saying, ‘The King lived here, you say? Really?’”
“I stood in one tiny room with loud furniture and shag carpet and thought, ‘The King’s interior designer must have been on acid,’” Harry wrote in his memoir.
Not that we should really care about the opinion of a man whose only source of income is to write tell-all books about his family tree — the one that has very few branches.
Elvis purchased Graceland in 1957 for his beloved mother. The estate is also the final resting place for Elvis, his parents and his daughter, Lisa Marie.
Hundreds of thousands of fans visit every year – making it one of the most visited houses in the nation, second only to the White House.
Nile Gardiner, a columnist for The Telegraph, pointed out a significant difference between the two royal families.
“Worth noting that Elvis worked extremely hard to buy Graceland, and was a great man of immense talent. Harry in contrast barely works at all, and has relied nearly all his life on his Dad’s money,” he wrote on Twitter.
It’s too bad President Trump isn’t at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Otherwise, Prince Harry would’ve already be on a British Airways flight back to Buckingham Palace.
But for now it looks like we’re stuck with the woke prince from across the Big Pond – not to mention his insufferable wife.
