Harris, the daughter of a Jamaican-American father, made the word salad in front of Jamaica’s prime minister, Andrew Holness.
Harris’ dad, whom she has had little contact with, criticized her in 2019 for joking about her heritage playing a role in her smoking pot when she was in college.
