Pizza Joint Refuses to Serve Police Officers

Several of San Francisco’s finest dropped by Pizza Squared for a slice the other day.

But instead of getting a pepperoni with extra cheese – the officers were told to get lost.

Will you eat at restaurants that disrespect police?

A worker at Pizza Squared told the police officers they were not welcome and they would not be served.

The San Francisco Police Officer’s Union condemned what they called the shameful and hateful actions of the employee.

“Two things that should never get political: pizza & policing,” the union wrote in a Twitter message.

The pizzeria’s owner was horrified by what happened and fired the worker – who happened to be a trainee on his third day.

“When our shift manager told us about the incident after it happened, we expressly told him we didn’t share his views & that he was out of line,” read a tweet from the owner. “He was fired at the end of the day.”

The union said they appreciated the owner’s swift apology.

“They have integrity & the pizza is good,” the union wrote on Twitter. “You can’t judge an organization based on the actions of 1; you judge it based on what it does when an individual does wrong.”

In this instance the pizzeria did the right thing.

“For those who stood up for the respectful treatment of police officers, thank you. We encourage you to support a local business that also stood for the respectful treatment of our officers. They should be rewarded and not punished,” the union added.

Over the years a number of coffee houses and diners have refused to serve police — a nasty side effect of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Some of those establishments have since gone out of business. Once you go woke, you go broke.
