Hello Americans, I’m Todd Starnes. Stand by for news and commentary next.

These are very strange days in the world of politics. Fox News has clearly chosen sides in the 2024 Republican presidential primary. They have thrown in with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis is a good man and no doubt would make a great president one day. So would a number of other Republicans including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Are you supporting President Trump in 2024?

The question is who will be the standard bearer of the conservative movement.

And I’ve come to the conclusion that President Trump deserves a second chance. Well, a third chance. But you know what I mean.

I want to direct your attention to some recent comments from Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones. In separate interviews both men referred to the former president as “autistic.”

“Trump is autistic and he’s very charismatic,” Jones said during an interview on the Tim Dillon show.

“I have no idea,” Carlson said during a recent interview when asked if Trump could really stop the Russian-Ukraine war in one day. “I mean, he couldn’t build a border wall in four years. So, you know there is a gap between promises and delivery with all politicians, very much including him.”

He then added: “But I will say in Trump’s defense, and maybe because he’s a little bit autistic, he saw the stakes of this, like at the very beginning — and this is what I do love about Trump, particularly in foreign policy. He sees the big stuff. He’s like, ‘Wait, you’ve got Russia and China. They don’t trust each other. We can’t let them get together.’”

Carlson is also on record saying he hates Trump passionately. And once told colleagues at Fox News, “we are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights.”

Were the men working off talking points? Is there some sort of a behind-the-scenes effort to portray the former president as unstable? It’s all very strange and quite frankly — dangerous.

All I can say is there is a civil war brewing within the ranks of the conservative movement. And we have to hope and pray that all of our candidates survive the ugly political bloodbath to come.

That being said – you should understand that some of your favorite conservative television networks, websites and pundits will be engaged in a propaganda campaign to advance their own pick.

Do your homework and support the candidate who best represents your values and who best represents an America First agenda. And more importantly — listen to your still small voice.
