Taxpayer-funded universities are facing a financial pandemic.
Overall enrollment at colleges and universities across the nation is down nearly six percent since 2019. That’s according to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center.
The crisis in higher education is even more ominous among undergraduates – where enrollment is down nearly eight percent.
William Paterson University in New Jersey says they plan on laying off 100 professors – including three tenured professors.
The truth is that many students are frustrated by the wokeness that’s infected higher education. Not to mention the communist-style pandemic restrictions.
And may others are discovering they can live the American dream without getting a college degree and without a mountain of student loan debt.
There may be a silver lining to the global pandemic after all.
