There is great outrage among American taxpayers over the news that American tax dollars have been used to fund drag queen performances in Ecuador.
The U.S. Department of State has awarded more than $20,000 for a cultural center in Ecuador to host “drag theater performances” in the name of diversity and inclusion, Fox News first reported.
“This is just sick,” Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) wrote in a Twitter message. “This is how your tax dollars get spent under Biden. These degenerates must be defeated in November.”
“I’m speechless,” said Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX). “Taxpayer dollars are funding drag shows in Ecuador.”
Nationally syndicated radio host Todd Starnes condemned the Biden Administration’s use of tax money.
“Why is Biden’s State Dept. putting our tax dollars into the thongs of Ecuadorian drag queens,” Starnes demanded to know.
“Although, I’m surprised there’s not more of an outcry from American drag queens,” said Starnes. “I have to imagine that many of them are suffering financially because of inflation. There’s just not enough dollars in their thongs to pay for the gallons of makeup and glitter they need to get gussied up.”
The project at CEN, which started Sept. 30 and runs until Aug. 31, 2023, will include “3 workshops,” “12 drag theater performances,” and a “2-minute documentary,” according to the State Department’s grant listed on the USASpending.gov website, according to Fox.
