Biden’s Dog Commander Involved in Biting Incidents at WH: Secret Service

President Biden’s German shepherd Commander was involved in 10 attacks – hospitalizing one – over a series of months at the White House and in Delaware, according to the Secret Service.

Personnel from the agency raised concerns about the safety of the nearly two-year-old dog in emails obtained by Judicial Watch. The White House said the Bidens are working with new training for the family pet.

Commander was brought into the White House after former first dog Major was kicked out and reportedly “given to family friends” after similar attacks on White House staff, according to the FOIA request.

A Secret Service officer was hospitalized in Nov. 2022 after Commander bit them twice, clamping down on their arm and thigh. The officer had to use a steel cart to protect themselves and “was in a considerable amount of pain,” according to an email report.

In correspondence after the attack, one officer quipped, “If it wasn’t their dog he would already have been put down – freaking clown needs a muzzle…”

A few weeks earlier, an officer warned, “It’s only a matter of time before an agent/officer is attacked or bit” after First Lady Dr. Jill Biden “couldn’t regain control” of Commander as he charged a member of the Secret Service staff.

Then on Nov. 10, 2022, a “Secret Service officer was attacked by Commander while First Lady Jill Biden was walking him in the Kennedy Garden. The officer was bitten on the left thigh, and subsequently experienced ‘bruising, tenderness and pain in the bite area.'”

About a month later in Dec. 2022, Commander attacked a USSS Special Agent after President Biden let the dog off the leash outside the White House in the Kennedy Garden: “The injuries included a bite to the left forearm resulting in bruising and approximately a 1 ½ cm cut and a bite to the right hand on the thumb resulting a 1 cm cut.”

A few days later, the dog bit a Secret Service officer’s left arm when they were walking from one post to another on the White House complex.

At the beginning of the year, a Technical Security Investigator responding to an alarm going off at Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware lake house was attacked by Commander when the front door was opened.

The agent wrote:

Commander squeezed his way through the door and immediately bit/latched onto the lower right side of my back. [Redacted] told Commander to get down and assisted in pulling him off. The total incident did not last more than about 10 seconds and Commander went back inside the residence. [Redacted] was apologetic after the incident. After checking my lower back, there’s a 1×1 scratched, bruised spot where Commander grabbed onto and was bleeding consistent of a scratch like rug burn.

“These shocking records raise fundamental questions about President Biden and the Secret Service,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said. “This is a special sort of craziness and corruption where a president would allow his dog to repeatedly attack and bite Secret Service and White House personnel.”

Biden told a friend he thought an agent who reported being bitten by Major on the leg was lying about the incident, CNN reports.
