Blackburn: Biden Owes Mother of Dead Kids an Apology

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) slammed President Biden on the “Todd Starnes Show” after the president laughed about a Michigan mom whose two sons died of fentanyl overdoses.

Pro-life activist Rebecca Kiessling, whose sons Caleb, 20, and Kyler, 18, died from fentanyl-laced Percocet pills slammed Biden as “despicable.” The president used the situation to go after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Should Biden be impeaced?

“What was your reaction yesterday when President Biden actually laughed at a woman because of the fentanyl issue and losing children as?” national radio host Todd Starnes asked the Senator.

“He needs to apologize to that family immediately,” Blackburn said. “I thought that was in very poor taste. I thought it was almost a moment of ridicule of the sadness, and I cannot imagine as a mom and a grandmom, I cannot imagine the trauma and heartbreak of losing both of my children. I just can’t.”

Below is a rushed transcript from the “Todd Starnes Show” Thursday at CPAC:

Blackburn: Our segment was human trafficking cartels and beyond the China balloon. And because you look at how the Chinese Communist Party and the Mexican cartels are in cahoots and you look at the how this fentanyl crisis is unique to the United States and all of that, fentanyl is coming out of China, Mexico cartels and into our communities.

Starnes: What was your reaction yesterday when President Biden actually laughed at a woman because of the fentanyl issue and losing children as?

CPAC: DeSantis Chose Caviar Crowd over Meatloaf Crowd

Blackburn: He needs to apologize to that family immediately. I thought that was in very poor taste. I thought it was almost a moment of ridicule, of the sadness, And I cannot imagine as a mom and a grandmom, I cannot imagine the trauma and heartbreak of losing both of my children. I just can’t.

Starnes: When you look at at the drug addiction in this country and the drugs coming across our border. In Memphis, the crime rates are just off the charts. Deadliest city, most dangerous city in America. What is your message to people in Tennessee about the policies of these Democrats?

Blackburn: Well, they need to look at how they issue the cartels and the drug trafficking, human trafficking gangs. All of that fits together and pushing these gangs into our cities. And they are driving up the crime rate, the drug dealers. You know, Todd, the thing is, when you talk to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation or of any state, they will tell you the cartel has a presence in our state. The cartel is active in our state. So in our communities, these Mexican cartels now have put down roots and have established themselves and have their hubs for trafficking, drugs and people.

Starnes: Senator, you’ve got thousands of red blooded patriots here. They want to be active. They want to be engaged. What is your message to them? What can the average.

Blackburn: Person I said from the stage today, it is imperative in 2024 that we get everybody educated to, stirred to vote and go to the polls to vote.
