Former Vice President Mike Pence discovered classified documents at his home in Carmel, Indiana last week, Fox News reports.
Pence’s team reportedly informed Congress Tuesday about finding documents bearing classified markings, a search conducted after classified documents from President Biden’s time as vice president were found at the Penn Biden Center.
After the National Archives was alerted on Jan. 18 of several boxes of classified documents, they alerted the FBI, which collected the documents on Jan. 19, according to Fox.
The DOJ will need to determine whether or not the documents are considered classified or not despite bearing the classified markings, Pence’s team said.
No classified documents were reportedly found at Pence’s Advancing American Freedom office.
