Days after a White House meeting with President Biden, former President Obama, and others, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) has tested positive for COVID.
“After testing negative this week, Speaker Pelosi received a positive test result for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic,” Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, said in a statement. “The Speaker is fully vaccinated and boosted, and is thankful for the robust protection the vaccine has provided.”
The 82-year-old California Democrat canceled her weekly news conference with reporters.
