He went on to say that what happened on January 6th was the protest.

The former president’s comments are sure to raise a stink among Democrats, the Media and Never Trump Republicans.

But he does make a compelling point.

We still don’t know what really happened on January 6th. We have yet to understand the full extent of the FBI’s involvement. And we still don’t know why Capitol police were told to stand down.

Newly released video shows police standing guard as they allowed an orderly crowd of protesters to enter the building.

Congresswoman Liz Cheney accused former White House strategist Steve Bannon and President Trump of being personally involved in the planning and execution of the protest.

But the FBI has already determined that there was no evidence the attack was coordinated by supporters of the president.

All the more reason to find out what really happened on that day.
