Trump’s plane was in the air for about half an hour before one of the engines failed Saturday and the pilot of the private plane turned it around.
Trump was reportedly en route to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, but the plane had to land in New Orleans, where he gave a Republican National Committee donor retreat speech.
The audio of the pilot and air traffic controller described the situation as an “emergency in nature.”
Trump eventually landed in Palm Beach around 3 a.m. Sunday, according to the outlet.
