British Prime Minister Boris Johnson delivered a rousing defense of Christianity during his 2019 Christmas message to the nation.

“Today of all days, I want us to remember those Christians around the world who are facing persecution,” Johnson said. “For them, Christmas Day will be marked in private, in secret, perhaps even in a prison cell.”

Johnson went on to affirm that Christmas is a “celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ,” unlike other world leaders who have turned the holiday into a multicultural celebration.

The prime minister then declared his resolve to defend the Christian faith against evil.

“We stand with Christians everywhere, in solidarity, and will defend your right to practice your faith. So as a country let us reflect on the year, and celebrate the good that is to come,” he said.

The United Kingdom has their very own version of President Trump — a prime minister who wants to make Britain great again — and dare I say – British again.
