DEVELOPING STORY: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has filed a motion to vacate the chair. Conservatives are furious over Speaker Mike Johnson’s spending bill. The legislation was dropped in the middle of the night and lawmakers were not given the mandatory 72 hours to read the bill.
Additionally, the legislation is filled with millions of dollars in spending for late-term abortion programs and transgender issues. Punchbowl News was first to report on the filing.

“No Republican in good conscience can vote for the uniparty minibus. This is not a Republican bill. It is a Chuck Schumer, Democrat-controlled bill coming from the ‘Republican-controlled House,” Greene said. “The Speaker of the House should not bring it to the floor.”
“We need a Speaker of the House who will fight to secure America’s border at all cost! Not one that passes a trillion dollar Democrat wish list that continues the border invasion, funds the weaponized government, and breaks our own conference rules. I’m done with this one,” she said.
She told Fox News the minibus was a “betrayal” and filed motion to vacate as “more of a warning and a pink slip.” Says she doesn’t “wish to throw the House into chaos.” Wants to “find a new Speaker of the House.” Says she “will” follow through with the motion to vacate
