Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) admitted to being the subject of a pornographic “blackmail” video where he was “being crass with a friend.”

The Daily Mail described the graphic footage:
“It shows Cawthorn, 26, screaming and chanting as he started thrusting against an unknown man’s face. Someone else – presumably the person taking the video – could be heard laughing in the background and telling Cawthorn to ‘stick it in his face.'”
Cawthorn responded in a tweet:

American Muckrakers PAC, an anti-Cawthorn group, said they posted the video after receiving it from an anonymous source who used to be a Cawthorn donor.
“Madison Cawthorn should resign from Congress today. While his sexual orientation or behavior behind closed doors is no interest whatsoever to us, his actions should have consequences,” Muckrakers PAC President David B. Wheeler said in a statement.

“Ask him for any of this information. We do not know those details. We do know Rep. Cawthorn shouldn’t be in Congress regardless of when this video was taken. We don’t have any further comment at this time.”
The Daily Mail posted a censored version of the video clip.
This is not the first scandal for Cawthorn, who is running for reelection in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional district. In recent weeks, he has faced multiple controversies and has been rebuked by several GOP colleagues.
