A local Long Beach resident told Breitbart News “he had never seen anything like the congestion in the port before.”

At least 66 cargo ships were anchored off the port of Los Angeles and Long Beach Monday as the crisis continues.

Gene Seroka, executive director of the Port of Los Angeles, told CNN the crisis is waning thanks to President Biden’s announcement that the port would operate 24/7. However, locals are still saying it is backlogged.

“Mainstream media is ignoring the cargo ship pileup because they can’t blame it on Trump,” Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) tweeted.
