As speculation continues to rise about President Biden’s cognitive condition, CNN’s Don Lemon raised concerns about the president’s mental and physical health in an interview with White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
“Does the president has the stamina, physically and mentally, do you think to continue on even after 2024,” Lemon asked.
In shock, the press secretary assured the CNN anchor that she believes the President is functioning at a high level.

“Don! You’re asking me this question! Oh my gosh, he’s the president of the United States,” Jean-Pierre exclaimed. “I can’t even keep up with him.”
She continued, “that is not a question that we should be even asking. Just look at the work that he does. Just look at how he’s delivering for the American public.”

The CNN anchor’s questioning of the press secretary comes after a report showed many Democratic leaders question whether Biden is the best candidate for the party in 2024.

Steve Simeonidis, a Democratic National Committee member, told the New York Times that Biden “should announce his intent not to seek re-election in ’24 right after the midterms.”
Additionally, Simeonidis said, “To say our country was on the right track would flagrantly depart from reality.”
The Time’s piece cited many other democratic officials and disappointed voters who feel that Biden may not be able to win against former President Donald Trump if they go head to head again in 2024.
When referring to the report, Jean-Pierre became defensive.
“That article that we’re talking about is here-say, its salacious, it’s not what we care about,” the press secretary told Lemon.
