Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made a joke about former President Trump over the weekend and it didn’t land well with the Republican audience.
Pompeo, who also served as Trump’s CIA director, joked that he was the “warm-up act” at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s conference for former Vice President Mike Pence.

“Who knows, the next time we’re together we could be on a stage, multiple podiums. Who knows who else might be with us. Who knows,” Pompeo said. “And Who knows who will be between us and who knows what nicknames we might have.”

After Trump announced last week, other 2024 hopefuls are expected to make their intentions known in the next few months.
Pompeo told Fox News Trump and others announcing their decisions wouldn’t impact his decision to enter the race.
