Ohio Senate candidate Rep. Tim Ryan (D) told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Democrats need to “kill and confront” the “extremist” movement within the GOP.
Ryan told the MSNBC audience that if elected he would, “sit down and have conversations about how we can move out of this age of stupidity.”
The Democrat seemed opposed to working alongside conservative Republicans. Rather, Ryan hopes to use “normal mainstream Republicans” to accomplish his agenda.
Ryan said working with Republicans is important but “not the extremists that we are dealing with every single day, we’ve got to kill and confront that movement, but working with normal mainstream Republicans, that’s going to be really really important.”

Polls show Ryan tied, or with a small lead to political newcomer and author Republican candidate J.D. Vance.
As shown with comments throughout the Democratic party, the message going into the midterm elections is defeating the “extremist” movement within the GOP still loyal to Trump, which President Biden even said in a primetime address “posed a threat to the nation.”
