Muslim terrorists are suspected of waging jihad across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday — targeting churches and hotels frequented by westerners.
Nearly 300 people were slaughtered in the name of the religion of peace. Hundreds more were injured. Survivors described rivers of blood.
But there was one word noticeably missing from the condemnations coming from Democrats — the word Christian.
Former President Obama tweeted: “The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity.”
Former Secretary of State Mrs. Bill Clinton tweeted: “I’m praying for everyone affected by today’s horrific attacks on Easter worshippers and travelers in Sri Lanka.”
Those Easter worshipers have a name – they are Christians – followers of Jesus — and they were massacred in the name of Allah.
While Democrats had trouble uttering the word Christian — the Mainstream Media had difficulty with the word Muslim.
Instead, reporters used descriptors like religious extremists and radical terrorists. And Conservatives who dared mention that the attackers were alleged to be Islamic radicals were met with immediate condemnation.
I received complaints from leftists when I wrote a column in response to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar — stating that it was Muslim terrorists waged jihad on 9/11 – not just some people. Folks accused me of being Islamophobic.
The Islamic radicals want to to kill Christians and Jews, gay and straight. They even want to kill other Muslims. They want to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth in the name of the religion of peace.
Apparently, that is no longer politically correct to say.
So don’t be surprised if you hear the Mainstream Media or Democrats refer to the Sri Lankan jihadists as some people who just did something.
